I found it a great help for those moment when I knew that I was not going to be able to stick to my eating regime. It had taught me how to compensate and adjust my eating to fit with my lifestyle.

Most of us look in the mirror at least once a day and sometimes we feel a little disappointed. This is not the end of the world – it is a nudge to take action.

There is one simple step which you can take to achieve this and that is to eat natural foods.
What are the advantages of natural foods?
Natural foods contain less chemicals. Chemicals are also called toxins and this is because they can be ‘toxic’ to your body. If you eat natural foods then instead of giving yourself toxins you will be filling your body with nutrients. These nutrients are what will make your hair shine and your skin glow. Natural food is also easier to digest, so you will also be giving your digestive system a chance to function at its optimum (something many of us forget to do).
How can natural food help with weight loss or weight management?
To fully understand this you will need to understand the digestive system, which can be rather complicated; but here is a simplified version. You produce saliva in the mouth which, combined with chewing, softens the food before it gets to your stomach. The digestive track is lined with little wrinkles which absorb the nutrients into the blood stream. The blood then distributes them to the necessary places. This helps with weight loss as it means that with the correct balance of protein, fat and carbohydrate your body can function efficiently and it will know when it has everything it needs. Once the body is satiated the brain tells you to stop eating. The problem with non-natural foods is that the body gets confused, can’t easily break down the food into its component parts, and hence is not able to tell you when to stop – the result: you overeat!
Being happy in your body is about felling good from the inside outwards. This means that if you put good things in you will soon find that you look in the mirror and you may not be perfect, but you will glow and this will make you smile and before you know it you will be in a continuous cycle of self improvement.
